Kokedama is the Japanese art of growing plants in a moss-covered ball of soil wrapped with string or fishing line. They can be displayed on a decorative surface or hung by string in a window. In the first class, Terumi & Ian will teach how to make kokedamas with beautiful plants. Participants will learn about the Japanese art of kokedama and their maintenance. We’ll discuss various ways to display them using pottery dishes. In the second class, Kelly will teach participants to make a pottery dish that can hold your kokedama. All materials provided.
