Throwing for Beginners $250
6-Week Class

Your wheel throwing journey starts here! In this six-week class, students will learn the basics of wheel throwing. These skills will include: centering, coning, opening, pulling up walls, wedging, trimming on the wheelhead, and basic glazing. Forms that students might make in this class are, including but not limited to: cylinders, small bowls, and cups with or without handles. The goal of this class is to get the steps down using one to two pounds of clay. No experience necessary for this class. This course is reserved for beginners, so please do not register for this course if you have taken two or more 6-week throwing courses. The first bag of clay and all firings are included. Practice outside of class is strongly recommended but not required, and all students registered for this course will have access to Independent Studio.
